If the customization you want isn’t available as a standard variation on our product, simply reach out via our Contact Page. Whether you're looking to swap a stone, change a metal, or add a meaningful engraving, we’ll walk you through the process step-by-step to bring your vision to life.

Most of the pieces from our collection can be tailored with your choice of stones, metals, dimensions/sizing and/or engraving. Bespoke pieces are designed entirely from scratch, and start at $3,500. If you’re unsure which category your project falls into, reach out and we can guide you!

We primarily work with natural and antique precious gemstones through our trusted vendor network. We are also happy to source high-quality lab diamonds and gemstones upon request.

Absolutely. We work with clients globally via a virtual design process that includes digital renderings and shipping physical samples to ensure you are 100% confident in the final piece.

Yes! We love giving new life to storied stones. Reach out to discuss your heirloom piece, and we can determine if it’s a good candidate for a new setting.

Since accuracy is key for custom work, we recommend being sized by a local professional jeweler, or we can send you a physical ring sizer to use at home.

When purchasing a bracelet, we want to ensure the length and fit are perfect. We suggest going to a local jeweler to measure your wrist, or measuring an existing soft bracelet that you like the length of. For our Cuff styles, we will provide sterling silver sample sizes for you to try on to confirm the bracelet size that fits you best.

Pieces noted as "Ready to Ship" will be shipped 1-3 business days from purchase.

Pieces noted as "Made to Order" will be shipped 6-8 weeks from placing the order, or when a customization is finalized and approved by the client.

Bespoke pieces vary in timeline, see our Bespoke page for more information on timeline.

We ship via FedEx, with every package fully insured for the value of its contents. All packages require a signature on delivery, and we will reach out to coordinate delivery for a convenient time when someone is available to sign for the package. We can coordinate timing with you or arrange a "Hold for Pickup" at a FedEx Office near you.

For stone-forward pieces, we ask that you purchase the stone upfront, with the balance due upon approval for production. For design-forward pieces, we require payment once pricing and design is confirmed, before we move into production.

We do not offer in-house financing at this time; however, Shopify has payment plan options via ShopPay.

Standard collection items may be returned for store credit or refund to the original form of payment within 7 days in original condition. Customized and engraved pieces are crafted specifically for you and are final sale.

We recommend gentle cleaning with a soft microfiber towel and storing pieces separately to prevent scratches.

We stand behind the quality of our pieces. Firestone Fine Jewelry offers a complimentary 1 year limited warranty on all fine jewelry purchases. This warranty includes any quality issues that arise from a
manufacturing defect, including: loose diamonds or loose prongs, missing pavé
stones, broken clasps and/or broken soft chain. Within the first year of purchase, Firestone Fine Jewelry will correct any manufacturing or quality-related problems at no cost.

For any damages deemed normal wear and tear, a fee will be determined based on the assessment by our Jewelers. Once a fee is determined someone from Firestone Fine Jewelry will contact you to collect payment.

After 1 year from the date of delivery Firestone Fine Jewelry will happily assist with any repair at a fee plus additional tax and shipping costs.

This warranty does not cover issues that arise from normal wear and tear, including but not limited to: scratches, dents, stretched or kinked chains, misshapen bands, or cracked stones. Resizes, lost or stolen pieces are also not covered by this warranty.

We provide a Retail Replacement Value appraisal for all custom pieces. We recommend Jewelers Mutual or adding a rider to your homeowners/renters insurance.

We do not perform repairs on jewelry made by other brands to ensure we can stand behind the integrity of the work. We are happy to suggest repair shops in San Francisco for our local clients.

Engraving costs vary based on the scale of the piece and complexity of the design. If you'd like to get a better sense of how much a specific engraving might cost, feel free to fill out our Custom Engraving Form and we can talk!

Yes! We provide a 2D digital rendering for your approval before engraving begins.

To maintain quality control, we only offer engraving on pieces purchased directly from Firestone Fine Jewelry.

Our engravings are designed to last decades. Since rings see the most wear, we offer repair and re-engraving services if your design fades over time.

Hand engraving is a timeless art where every cut is made manually with a tool called a graver. This creates a depth, texture, and soul that machines simply cannot replicate, resulting in a piece with unique character and a brilliant "sparkle" within the metal.

To keep the lines sharp and bright, soak your piece in warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap (like Dawn) for 1–2 minutes. Gently scrub the engraved areas with a new, soft-bristled toothbrush to lift away oils and lotions. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a lint-free microfiber cloth; avoid paper towels, as they can cause micro-scratches.

Hand-engraved details are delicate. We recommend removing your jewelry before high-impact activities like gardening, lifting weights, or heavy household cleaning. Additionally, always apply perfumes, lotions, and hairspray before putting on your jewelry to prevent chemical buildup in the grooves.

The karat of gold you choose plays a role in how the design wears over time. Higher karat gold (18k) is softer and offers a richer glow but may soften faster with daily friction. Lower karat gold (14k) is harder and provides more resistance to scratches, keeping the engraving crisp for longer—making it an ideal choice for daily-wear items.

Even with the best care, engraving on high-contact pieces (like the top of a ring) can gradually soften over many years of constant wear. The good news is that we can often "refresh" or recut the existing lines to restore their original definition and brilliance.
